We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician II to join our dynamic team at Trinity Health.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working 12-hour night shifts on our 24-bed Stroke/Neuro Unit. As a Patient Care Technician II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Support the Stroke Coordinator and other team members as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience required; 1-2 years preferred.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program with placement on the Illinois Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry or verification of an equal or higher educational level in a clinically focused program.
