Position Summary: The selected candidate will undertake the responsibilities outlined below and other tasks as assigned by the Company. The ideal candidate should possess familiarity with manufacturing environments, demonstrate initiative, and maintain a strong focus on detail and accuracy.


Classification: Salary Exempt

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm; flexibility for overtime and weekend work may be required.

Compensation: Competitive salary for qualified candidates

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Operations

Location: Primarily onsite with occasional travel required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer blueprints and purchase orders to determine project scope and requirements for machining and assembly.
  • Establish manufacturing processes, equipment needs, programming requirements, and material specifications.
  • Collaborate with shop management to develop Engineering Masters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements through troubleshooting and planning adjustments.
  • Conduct time studies to establish cycle time expectations for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Drive a 10% annual increase in composites production efficiency while reducing costs.
  • Address complex manufacturing issues and work with the quality team on root cause analysis.
  • Maintain regular communication with departments such as Production, Machining, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Support in-house tensile pull and weight load testing.
  • Execute Engineering Masters promptly.
  • Promote Hera's vision and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Assist in developing and improving key performance indicators: safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency.
  • Research and interpret job-related information effectively.
  • Provide solutions to machining challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts by evaluating candidates and conducting interviews.
  • Assist in converting CAD data and preparing CNC programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve technical CAD data issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, particularly in Structures, Machining, and Paint.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Experience in planning for medium to high complexity parts in a machine shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
  • Knowledge of tooling requirements and machine shop procedures.
  • Experience in low to mid-volume job shop planning and quoting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and JobBoss is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with various materials including metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Willingness to work in controlled environments with appropriate safety gear.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CNC programming experience is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Work primarily in an air-conditioned office with occasional exposure to the production area.
