Guest Service Agent Opportunity

The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is seeking a skilled Guest Service Agent to provide exceptional customer service to our guests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for registering guests, assigning rooms, and settling guest accounts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient and effective guest service by using a clear voice, responding to guest requests, and providing accurate information.
  • Promote hotel accommodations, services, and area attractions to guests.
  • Arrange for services requested by guests by working with other departments as needed.
  • Offer guests updated rooms and promote hotel amenities, food and beverage outlets, and services.
  • Identify and record special billing instructions and notify Accounting.
  • Remain calm and attentive, especially during heavy hotel activity and emergencies.
  • Make and confirm reservations, record wake-up calls, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Patience, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Prior guest service experience preferred (at least six months).
