We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Support Specialist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our surgical department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procedures and facilities.
Responsibilities- Support the overall operation of the surgery department, including procedure room preparation, patient transportation, and ensuring cleanliness of the facilities.
- Oversee the inventory process, ensuring facilities are well-stocked and orders additional supplies as necessary.
- Maintain and ensure the availability of equipment used in procedures in the Operating Room on a daily basis.
- Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.
- May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- 1 year recent relevant experience
- General knowledge of surgical tools, procedures, views, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, including rotating weekends. The salary range for this role is $25.66 to $31.90 per hour, and the position is non-exempt.
