Responsibilities
  • Support the overall operation of the surgery department, including procedure room preparation, patient transportation, and ensuring cleanliness of the facilities.
  • Oversee the inventory process, ensuring facilities are well-stocked and orders additional supplies as necessary.
  • Maintain and ensure the availability of equipment used in procedures in the Operating Room on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 1 year recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of surgical tools, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a varied schedule, including rotating weekends. The salary range for this role is $25.66 to $31.90 per hour, and the position is non-exempt.
