Salary Information: $33,150 - $59,925 per annum
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Geospatial Data Specialist in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. This remote position requires occasional visits to our office as needed, with possible travel requirements for storm support. As a GIS Tech, you will work through a temp agency for 6 months before conversion to a Leidos employee.
The successful candidate will support various activities, including using GIS/CAD software for electric distribution projects and data maintenance, referencing documentation to update GIS data, identifying data inconsistencies, and obtaining and manipulating GIS data at state and municipality levels.
This role involves working in an Agile team environment where collaboration and receptiveness to feedback are essential to producing high-quality work meeting Leidos & clients' standards.
Requirements- 30 hours of complete GIS program at an accredited University, OR B.S. University enrollment in GIS cert program, OR 2 years of applicable work experience
- Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of Client Standards preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
