Job Overview

Position Summary: The role of a Banquet Server involves providing exceptional service during events and ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare various dressings and cold sauces to enhance menu offerings.
  • Continuously monitor the dining area to ensure guest satisfaction and comfort.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of menu items, including specials, beverages, and wines.
  • Serve food and beverages using appropriate tableware, ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Assist fellow servers and setup personnel as required.
  • Promptly communicate guest feedback to management for immediate attention.
  • Adhere to health and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Follow safe serving practices when handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Help set tables with linens and appropriate silverware, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
  • Participate in the breakdown of events and assist in cleaning the venue post-functions.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Capable of pushing, bending, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Good hearing, writing, and typing skills are essential.
  • Minimum pulling capacity of 50 pounds.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel departments and their functions is required.
  • Familiarity with applicable health, safety, and legal regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
  • A high school diploma along with relevant training and experience is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid training are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
