The Architecture Department is a dynamic environment dedicated to fostering creativity and innovation in the built environment. As a pivotal member of our team, you will oversee all administrative and academic functions within the department, ensuring a seamless operation that supports our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to the Department Chair on administrative and academic initiatives.
  • Manage budgetary and financial responsibilities, including the establishment and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a dedicated team of staff members.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of new academic programs.
  • Facilitate compliance with university policies and operational standards.
  • Act as the financial officer, developing financial projections and control strategies.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial and administrative management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in supervisory roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with university policies and procedures related to finance and human resources will be advantageous. Knowledge of grant and contract administration is also preferred.

Working Conditions:

Physical requirements include the ability to lift 10 to 20 lbs. The role may involve close concentration and limited exposure to hazards.
