We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Print Quality Specialist to join our team at Brook & Whittle. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our printing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support and assist the operations team in maintaining quality control standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on press, seaming, and flexible packaging to ensure products meet requirements.
- Perform random checks to verify product quality throughout production.
- Understand and maintain knowledge of production materials and paperwork.
- Operate and maintain quality testing equipment.
- Develop and maintain folding standards, flat standards, and sample labels for customers.
- Collaborate with the quality manager and operations team to maintain customer standards in the lab and account management areas.
- Notify the quality manager or operations team of any issues preventing sign-off.
- Report any issues or hazards to managers and supervisors.
- Work a reasonable amount of overtime, including Saturdays, when production warrants it.
- 1-2 years' experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing facility.
- Flexible packaging and press experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong technology proficiency.
- Industry certification a plus (SQF, 1 year preferred).
- Must be proficient in using metric and standard measuring devices.
- Ability to remain poised under difficult or stressful circumstances.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality.
- Work well with management and operations.
- Make recommendations for process improvements according to procedures.
- Attendance and punctuality are a must.
- A basic understanding of common quality systems and problem-solving tools.
- Computer and data entry skills required (Microsoft Outlook knowledge required).
- Understand and use the X-Rite Color Management System.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp, and reach frequently.
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent, quality-driven work habits.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
