Role Summary:

The Family Support Specialist (FSS) is dedicated to empowering families to address challenges, achieve independence, and enhance their connections with various community resources.

FSS professionals deliver clinical services, which include detailed family evaluations, recognizing strengths and vulnerabilities within the family unit, and collaborating with social workers to develop and implement family service plans with measurable outcomes.

Become part of our dedicated team of therapists, including FSS, Evidence-based Practice, and Mental Health Therapists, committed to providing strength-based family support services.

Compensation: $
Program: 39
Location: Various locations
Work Hours: Flexible, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday

Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be required, with flexibility based on family availability.

We are seeking a Full-Time Family Support Specialist for various locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and families
  • Must have a clear criminal background and pass a background screening

Licensing and Certifications:

  • Must possess or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire (cost covered by the organization)
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance required
  • TB Test: Must be completed within 7 days of employment start date (cost covered by the organization)
  • Current or ability to obtain licensure or certification as a counselor in the State of Washington under Department of Health guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social or behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution, along with at least one year of experience working with children and families
