Utility Maintenance Specialist

Join the City of Casper team as a Utility Worker I or II and contribute to the maintenance and operation of our water distribution systems. As a key member of our public works team, you will be responsible for reading water meters, facilitating appointments with citizens, exchanging meters, testing meter accuracy, and performing utility maintenance tasks. You will also be part of an on-call rotation to ensure our community receives prompt and reliable service.
Responsibilities:- Read water meters and facilitate appointments with citizens
- Exchange meters and test meter accuracy
- Perform utility maintenance tasks, including operation of light and heavy equipment
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure prompt and reliable service
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of one year of experience performing maintenance work involving the operation of light and medium size equipment and hand and power tools
- Possession of a valid Wyoming Class B Commercial Driver's License with applicable endorsements per assigned division
- Possession of a Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Level I Distribution Systems Operator certification or Level I Wastewater Collection Operator certification, as appropriate
- Competitive starting pay: $20.63 for Utility Worker I and $21.61 for Utility Worker II
