Senior Radar Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our Sensor Systems team at SRC, Inc. This is a full-time salaried position based at one of our facilities in Syracuse, NY; Herndon, VA; Fairborn, OH; or San Antonio, TX.
Key Responsibilities- Guide the technical direction of our current radar programs and influence future radar system development
- Design and analyze signal and data processing technologies, develop algorithms, and implement electronic protection techniques
- Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and training to junior engineers and upper management
- Collaborate with customers in the Department of Defense and industry to define system capabilities and functionality for future radar systems
- Participate in business development activities, including the development of marketing briefings, white papers, and proposals
- Lead the development of radar systems, including the definition of system requirements, architecture, and design
- Develop EW&CS system simulations, models, and algorithms, and perform data analysis
- Conduct trade studies and risk assessments to determine the most feasible and innovative solutions to meet customer missions and requirements
- Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in the field of radar
- Plan, develop, and execute training to increase radar system engineering talent depth in the engineering team
- Support functional leadership in the Systems Engineering team by being a visible and accessible technical leader
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar field and 15+ years of related experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a similar field and 10+ years of related experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysis
- Experience in conducting technical training and mentoring in a workplace environment
- Experience in writing technical reports, creating technical drawings, system developmental schedules, and performance specifications, and in presenting to management and customers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in performing analysis and algorithm development using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python
- Experience/Expertise in traditional Systems Engineering processes, including requirements analysis, architecture development, trade studies, and risk management
Must be a U.S. citizen and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information up to the TS-SCI level.

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, with an anticipated salary range of $164,000 to $207,000 annually based on experience, skills, and abilities.
