About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and sterilizing instruments.
  • Provide support to surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, including maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
  • At least 9-12 months of experience in a surgical setting, with increasing responsibility preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
