Certified Nursing Assistant - Cardiac Telemetry
Employment Type: Part Time
Shift: Night Shift
Compensation: $2,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Swedish Health Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care and assisting with various departmental activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their families while working under the supervision of an RN.
- Assist with patient transportation as required.
- Document daily activities and care provided, ensuring accurate and timely communication of any changes in patient condition.
- Perform patient care tasks as directed by the RN, including but not limited to: bed making, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), taking vital signs, and supporting patients with mobility.
- Conduct regular patient rounds as delegated by the RN.
- Respond promptly to unit and patient alarms, ensuring a safe environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to prioritize patient care needs and assist with admissions and discharges.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.
- Participate in educational activities and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Experience:
- Six months of acute care experience or one year of skilled nursing experience.
- Customer service experience in healthcare may substitute for acute or skilled experience.
- Students currently enrolled in a registered nursing program may also be considered.
