Overview:


Fairview Health Services is seeking a Clinical Respiratory Specialist to become a vital part of our Respiratory Therapy team.

We are offering a competitive sign-on bonus.

The Respiratory Therapy department is a vibrant and expanding unit with a dedicated team of professionals.

As an integral member of a comprehensive healthcare system, the Clinical Respiratory Specialist plays a crucial role in patient care and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

This role involves delivering diagnostic and therapeutic services as directed by a physician. Adheres to established treatment protocols in line with departmental guidelines. Evaluates, interprets, and intervenes appropriately in the care of patients across all age groups, ensuring adherence to safety and welfare standards during treatments.

Schedule:
This position is structured as 0.6 FTE (48 hours biweekly).

The shifts will be 12 hours during the night and will include a rotation for every other weekend.

$4.00/hr for night shifts

Responsibilities/Job Description:
As a Clinical Respiratory Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Assessing patient requirements and determining expected outcomes.
Implementing respiratory care interventions as per the care plan.
Evaluating patient responses to interventions and expected outcomes.
Delivering care as assigned by the physician or authorized practitioner to the designated patient population.
Utilizing effective communication strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Operating and maintaining all respiratory care equipment.


Qualifications:
Required

Qualifications:
Education
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or a related field.
License/Certification/Registration
Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Exceptions include:
New Graduates only - must obtain RRT within one year of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
