Your Contributions:- Define project scope with complete accountability for interpreting, organizing, and executing assignments.
- Identify issues for investigation, crafting innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Conduct quality assurance checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations, and specifications produced by design teams for precision and thoroughness, while performing on-site inspections and overseeing remedial design work.
- Stay updated on cutting-edge methods and advancements in your field of expertise.- Propose modifications or enhancements to plans and programs.
- May serve as the project manager for routine to moderately complex projects, which may involve supporting marketing efforts, negotiating contracts, managing budgets, coordinating schedules, and allocating resources.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Structures is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Structures is preferred.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License is required; a Structural Engineer (SE) License is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical design, along with strong writing, computer, and communication skills, is essential.
- High proficiency in the Structural Design of Highway Bridges and related structures is necessary.
- Familiarity with GDOT practices is preferred.
- Experience with various bridge types (railroad, pedestrian, etc.) is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency in CAD is required; experience with MicroStation is preferred.
- Experience in managing personnel, project scope, budget, and schedule is beneficial.
