Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:
At Railinc, we are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by performing manual testing activities. This includes collaborating with the development team to create testable user stories, identifying test conditions, developing and executing manual test cases, and capturing and reporting testing metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform manual testing and verification using appropriate testing practices.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure testable user stories are created and estimated.
• Identify test conditions of satisfaction for user stories and testing tasks.
• Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases.
• Capture and report testing metrics.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• 2+ years of experience in a QA Analyst role with manual test case definition and execution experience.
• Familiarity with cloud is desired.

Physical Requirements:
The assignment involves sitting at the workstation (desk) most of the time (up to 8 hours) with only occasional walking and/or standing. Keyboarding is primarily using fingers for typing. Talking is expressing or communicating verbally through the use of spoken words (accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions to others). Hearing is the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound. Visual is through close visual acuity, required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing computer terminal; extensive reading (with or without correction). Environment is work is performed within an office setting and therefore there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions (i.e., extreme heat, cold, noise, etc.).
