About the Role

The Laboratory Analyst is a key member of our team, responsible for performing analysis in various matrices in the organic department using GC/GC-MS instrumentation. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing analysis on samples using GC/GC-MS instrumentation
  • Preparing and standardizing reagents and solutions
  • Cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Evaluating data and troubleshooting problems with instruments and sample preparation processes
  • Performing instrument/equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair
  • Organizing workload to meet Turn Around Times (TATs) and hold times
  • Creating work lists, workgroups, and sample tables

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. or Technical Diploma in Chemistry or a related discipline and 1-3 years' experience in an analytical laboratory or related field.

  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • Capability to perform repetitive tasks correctly in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
