Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in developing and implementing business operations and strategies to drive growth, profitability, and efficiencies within the company.
  • Bring technical expertise to management discussions to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Evaluate the company's performance by analyzing and creating data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement operational condition reports for ASAE shipyards and affiliates to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide recommendations to adjust operational budgets to optimize resource allocation and drive business results.
  • Suggest methods to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, and improve control measures.
  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and senior management team to support and recommend plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems, and company policies.
  • Comply with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management and industry standards.
  • Assist in the execution of cross-functional projects such as new offerings, new business, partnership opportunities, and improvements to internal operations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in marine or naval engineering, or closely related field, or foreign equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in supervision or management of shipbuilding functions or processes.
  • Travel to Europe to meet with parent and affiliate company two to three times per year.
