Neurologist for Medical Evaluation Board

We are seeking a qualified Neurologist to serve as an Independent Contractor for the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB). This role involves providing expert medical consultation and guidance to healthcare professionals in the assessment and management of patients' medical conditions.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected physician will:
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and offer insights on diagnosis and disability determinations.
- Review patient referrals and perform thorough medical record assessments.
- Administer physical examinations to assist in fitness for duty evaluations and readiness assessments.
- Evaluate the medical necessity for additional clinical assessments.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid M.D. or D.O. degree with successful completion of postgraduate training.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years in specialties such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or Occupational Medicine.
- Hold a current BLS Certification.
- Maintain an unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state or territory.
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Be board certified by the appropriate American Board in the relevant specialty.
This position requires full-time availability, with clinic hours typically scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Flexibility in scheduling may be discussed based on mutual agreement.
