Job Summary

  • This role involves working with children and adolescents in an educational setting, conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • The successful candidate will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • The School Psychologist will provide direct counseling services to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Additionally, the candidate will consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving student outcomes.
  • They will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services and interventions.
  • Ongoing support and training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
