Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Plant Operations team at Conestoga Wood Specialties. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing products and systems that meet our high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and develop process improvements for manufacturing to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Equipment Selection: Identify and recommend equipment that satisfies project objectives with a team.
  • Capital Preparation: Assist in the preparation of capital requests for improvements.
  • Design and Layout: Prepare complete drawings for plant, tooling, and machinery layouts.
  • Product Development: Assist in the development of new products.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance on machinery removal, moves, and installs.
  • Project Management: Function as a project manager for process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in CAD drawing.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, communicate effectively with department and non-department employees, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Leadership: Self-directed with the ability to work independently without close supervision, and capable of handling multiple tasks and adjusting well to changing conditions.
