About the Role:- Security and Safety:
- Remain vigilant and alert during your shift, unless on a scheduled break.
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and walks to ensure the site's safety and security.
- Maintain the quality and cleanliness of facilities, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Ensure that all gates, doors, and entry points are secure and accessible.
- Participant Support:
- Monitor participants and engage with those who are awake during overnight hours, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Facilities Management:
- Maintain quiet hours and nighttime protocol, ensuring a peaceful environment for all.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for shelter staff and participants, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Effective communication with all staff, programs, and community partners is essential.
- Keep all areas used by shelter participants and staff clean, organized, and tidy during and after each shift.
- Record daily site notes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Staffing and Operations:
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, take a full 1-hour lunch break, and work the entire shift.
- Attend supervision, staff meetings, and community professional meetings as required.
- Meet the needs of villagers as necessary, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Participate in daily crossover meetings and communicate with Behavioral Health Specialist and wrap-around team members.
- Complete projects as assigned and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to state and federal privacy and security regulations, as well as company policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.

Preferred Experience:- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a shelter or social services setting.
- Experience with client information databases and software applications.
- Direct administrative or support services experience, with a focus on customer service and support.
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation, psychological research methods, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Ability to develop operating strategies, plans, or procedures, with a focus on safety and security.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another related field.
- Other relevant certification or training, such as crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques.
- Lived experience, with a focus on working with vulnerable populations.
- Understanding of Housing First and Harm Reduction models, with a focus on safety and security.
- Professional maintenance of appropriate boundaries, with a focus on respect and dignity.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliation, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientations.
Working indoors and outdoors in heat and cold, with slippery and uneven walking surfaces, and exposure to offensive odors.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, reaching, sitting for extended periods, and standing for extended periods.
