Histology Technician

Gastro Health is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Histology Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing biological samples for microscopic analysis, ensuring the accuracy and quality of test results.

• Prepare reagents and solutions for laboratory procedures
• Handle and process biological samples, including tissue preparation and embedding
• Operate complex automated equipment, maintaining and troubleshooting as needed
• Perform routine histology tasks, including staining and sectioning of tissue samples
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of clinical data into the laboratory information system

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field
• HT or HTL certification by the ASCP
• Previous experience as a histotech preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
