Field Service Engineer

Thielsch Engineering, a division of RISE Group, Inc., is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for conducting field inspections of power boilers, pressure vessels, and related critical components.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation and possess excellent communication skills. They will be required to travel extensively throughout the US, with 80% of their time spent on the road and 20% in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on field inspections of power boilers, pressure vessels, and related critical components
- Collect accurate field data and compose detailed engineering reports documenting the results from inspections
- Manage the field crew, which consists of technical craft laborers specializing in weld repairs, examination of critical components, and non-destructive testing while at the job site
- Communicate and present report findings to the field crew, management, and clients
- Oversee and supervise work performed by subcontractors and troubleshoot any problems that may occur out in the field
- Perform other duties as needed to support the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field
- Experience writing detailed technical reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to effectively interact with employees from all levels within the organization
- Ability to practice discretion, good judgment, and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills with coworkers, management, and clients, both verbal and in writing
- Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, work under pressure, and conduct themselves professionally
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Valid US Passport or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Experience conducting field engineering services within a related industry is a plus
- Certifications are a plus (OSHA 10, OSHA 30, ASNT, API, and AWS-CWI)
