Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at TridentCare. As a Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes. You will work independently, using your expertise to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes.
  • Follow established phlebotomy procedures to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection.
  • Properly identify patients and label specimens according to TridentCare's phlebotomy patient identification policy.
  • Transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely and secure manner.
  • Work cooperatively with dispatch, payroll, laboratory, and courier departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain all equipment in good working order and report any issues to the Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Current clinical licensure, if required by the state.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Proficient in venipuncture, tourniquet application/removal, and decontamination of the puncture site.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle in good working condition.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain accurate time sheet records.
