We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse II to join our Surgical Services team at Herbert J. Thomas Memorial Hospital Association dba Thomas Hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality surgical services.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or a compact state.
- One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a surgical setting.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
