Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Value Analysis Manager to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the clinical value analysis process to provide high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the clinical value analysis committees, value analysis process in the system integration councils, and supply stewardship councils.
  • Develop and implement a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization, quality/outcomes, and costs.
  • Collaborate with customers to create comparative matrices, facilitate recommendations, and review proposed contracts.
  • Manage the backorder process to identify clinical equivalent substitute products or services.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for the system, providing expertise on product or service inquiries.
  • Manage integration process for products or services with new facilities or conversions.
Requirements
  • Technical certificate from an accredited clinical program.
  • 5 years of experience in utilization of clinical products, including experience in a hospital with Cath Lab, Cardiology, Operating Room, ICU, Emergency Department, Laboratory, or Respiratory.
  • Preferred: Clinical-focused degrees, professional certification, and/or license in clinical specialty.
Preferred Skills
  • Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Leadership, program planning, and development skills.
  • Project management, performance improvement, and quality management skills.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to gain consensus between physicians, nursing administration, and vendors.
