Job Overview

Speak To Me Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Intake Specialist to join our dynamic pediatric clinic team.

Experience in administrative roles within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.

This part-time position is available in our expanding Mooresville office, with potential for growth into a full-time role.

Your responsibilities will include fostering a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining a positive demeanor, and ensuring the smooth execution of daily office tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor;
  • Engage in over-the-phone customer relations;
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills;
  • Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems;
  • Verify insurance benefits;
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments;
  • Handle phone calls and correspondence with professionalism;
  • Organize clinic operations;
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records with all pertinent information;
  • Monitor office supply inventory and place orders as necessary;
  • Assist colleagues as needed;
  • Greet clients upon arrival to the office;
  • Oversee the office calendar;
  • Process new patient intakes;
  • Collect payments;
  • Perform scanning, filing, and material assembly;
  • Support special projects and undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Prior experience in pediatric settings is a plus, but not mandatory;
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive;
  • Reliable transportation is required;
  • Ability to pass a background check;
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous;
  • Preferred experience in administrative roles;
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Open to learning new processes and methodologies;
  • Possess a positive attitude and strong teamwork capabilities;
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

This role requires availability for at least two days per week until 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
