About the Role

Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer/Designer to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day production of commercial, municipal, advanced manufacturing, and technology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume multi-project responsibilities for full Electrical design, including Power distribution, Lighting, Telecommunications, and Renewable Energy Systems for Buildings, Cleanrooms, and electrical MV systems design for advanced manufacturing and technology markets.
  • Engage in and assume responsibility for Code research and application, Fieldwork to ascertain existing conditions, Preliminary schematics through final designs, Calculations, Equipment specification, sizing, and layout, Coordination with other production staff, Preparation of accurate Electrical system construction drawings and specifications submittal review and construction administration.
  • Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors and maintain project design budgets and schedules while pursuing quality.
  • Mentor engineers, designers, and drafters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) is preferred.
  • Wide range of design experience, including industrial Power and MV systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with others and work on multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to solve complex power engineering problems.
  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of codes and standards associated with electrical power, including National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and applicable IEEE Standards.
  • Ability to pass background checks and willingness to comply with immunization requirements that our industrial clients may require to access their facilities.
  • Ability to complete occasional travel to client sites in support of projects.
