Resident Engineer

Palmetto Engineering & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to oversee telecommunications outside plant technical services staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising project-specific on-site activities, ensuring quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.

• Project Management: Manage and supervise project-specific on-site activities, including mapping, staking, and construction surveillance.
• Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the company and clients, providing tailored services to meet client needs.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical oversight to project on-site staff, orient and train new employees, and recommend or provide training as needed.
• Quality Control: Inspect work regularly to ensure conformance with company standards and design.
• Communication: Interface with clients on a regular basis to ensure the company is meeting established expectations and delivery schedules.
• Right of Way and Permits: Secure right of way and complete permits as needed.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints.

• Minimum of 5 years of Telecommunications Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of Outside Plant Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of RUS
• Ability to work independently, travel weekly to job sites as needed, and possess a valid driver's license
