Job Summary

**Job Title:** CNC Operator

**Job Summary:** A CNC Machine Operator is a vital member of the Machine Shop team at Pro-Type Industries, Inc. who contributes expertise and focus to the setup and creation of products on various CNC mills and lathes. They work closely with CNC Programmers and the MS Foreman to ensure accurate, precise, and efficient parts are manufactured, exceeding customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Review and execute CAM programs for the setup and operation of CNC mills (3, 4, and 5-axis) and lathes based on proficiency and need.
  • Produce precision products that meet customer tolerancing requirements.
  • Manage personal workflow to ensure alignment with the Machine Shop schedule.
  • Support activities for the Machine Shop and Pro-Type Industries, Inc. as requested.

**Required Skills and Abilities:**

  • MasterCAM interpretation and programming
  • CNC Mill Operation and Setup
  • CNC Lathe Operation and Setup
  • Manual Equipment Operation and Maintenance
  • Use of precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • SolidWorks or 3D CAD experience

**Education and Experience Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Able to lift 75 pounds
