Project Manager Job Description
The Project Manager at George Koch & Sons is responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing assigned projects on time, within budget, and to the required scope. This includes managing safety, scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, customer satisfaction, risk management, monitoring, reporting, documentation, change orders, and implementation.
The Project Manager plays a critical role in the success of a project, guiding it from estimate to customer acceptance. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing total job performance through the effective use of project management tools.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules with clear milestones to monitor progress.
- Working with purchasing to ensure materials are ordered to specification and received in a timely manner.
- Monitoring actual costs against budgets and investigating variances.
- Communicating with Engineering and Operations to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Three years of experience in project-oriented industries with estimating, manufacturing, engineering, and field work.
- Experience with project management tools (ProCore, Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.).
Skills and Abilities:
- Proactively preventing and resolving customer concerns.
- Ability to initiate change and create a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills, including oral and written.
- Knowledgeable of terms and conditions.
