The Role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help build, maintain, and support our high-throughput distributed architecture. As a key member of our Infrastructure Team, you will work closely with our Cloud Platform team to deploy and maintain core cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain core cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
  • Build and maintain automation and monitoring infrastructure
  • Advise, monitor, and support company efforts around cost, security, disaster recovery, and compliance
Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of Linux and command line experience
  • Programming/automation experience (Python, Go, Java, bash, etc)
  • Experience working in a cloud environment
  • Knowledge and experience with networking fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely in close collaboration with a team
Bonus Points
  • Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Production usage of Python, Java, Go, or other general purpose programming language
  • Web/network security, including TLS, permissions management, vulnerability management, security best practices, etc
  • Database and storage technologies, including RDBMS like Postgres/Mysql, columnar stores like Bigtable/Cassandra, and block storage like GCS/S3
  • Container and container orchestration systems, including Docker and Kubernetes

Compensation and Benefits

At Urban Airship, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting salary range of $95,657 - $119,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, mental health benefits, and a retirement plan.
