Key Responsibilities of the Budget Manager:
  • Manage operations across multiple offices, overseeing department leaders and staff to ensure timely task completion and resolution of operational challenges. Provide strategic recommendations to upper management.
  • Administer a variety of insurance programs, including health, liability, property, and workers' compensation, while managing claims and legal processes.
  • Oversee capital projects, including design, bidding, and construction phases.
  • Represent upper management in labor negotiations, conducting financial analyses and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate long-term debt acquisition and coordinate organizational risk management initiatives.
  • Complete special projects and serve as a liaison for senior management as required.


Qualifications for the Budget Manager Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance is essential.
  • CPA certification is advantageous.
  • A strong interest in local government operations is preferred.
