About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Security Technician to join our team at NSC Technologies. As a key member of our security solutions business, you will be responsible for installing and servicing access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Perform service and installation of various security management solutions, including access control, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television systems, and other security-related systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, re-configure, and test equipment and devices associated with security systems, and repair as necessary.
  • System Upgrades and Additions: Perform upgrades and additions to systems to increase functionality and usability.
  • Computer Program Entry: Perform computer program entry as required to add closed circuit television cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Equipment Installation: Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.
  • System Termination: Terminate equipment and field devices while completing and verifying the operation from the field to the reporting systems.
  • Team Leadership: Lead teams and delegate tasks as needed, demonstrating proper techniques and being willing to do what is required to complete tasks.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Must be able to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
  • Communication Skills: Must have good communication skills and the ability to think on their feet in a fast-paced and technically demanding environment.
  • IP-Based Systems Experience: Must have experience with IP-based systems.
  • Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel through the metroplex.
  • Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of Software House, Open Option, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Salient, and Lenel would be a plus.
  • Commercial Sound Experience: Nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound experience is a plus.
