Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality images and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting exposure factors, to produce high-quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient care.
  • Process images, identify patient information, and label images correctly to maintain accurate records.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in radiologic procedures and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
