Resilient Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Certified Occupational Therapist to join our team in a PRN home health role. This position offers the opportunity to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and work skills of individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions.

About the Job

This role involves providing effective and client-centered services that enable individuals to carry out everyday tasks or activities confidently and independently. The successful candidate will have a holistic perspective and adapt the environment to fit the person's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Intervention: Address clients' aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality.
  • Treatment Planning: Select and adapt the appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions.
  • Safety and Performance: Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Clinical Expertise: Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
  • Environment Assessment: Assess clients' homes and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
  • Equipment Recommendations: Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
  • Family and Caregiver Support: Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goals.
  • Data Collection: Collect data and document processes followed.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy, hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media, familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools, and ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
  • Licensure and Education: Valid license to practice occupational therapy and BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
