Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Dover Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries, exams, and lab work
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient conditions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results
  • Assist with laboratory tests, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology or a related field
  • Current certification as a veterinary technician (CVT) or registered veterinary technician (RVT)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
