Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician - Animal Care Specialist to join our team at VCA Dover Animal Hospital. As a key member of our hospital team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, exams, and surgeries
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient conditions
  • Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples for analysis, and maintain accurate records
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, under the supervision of a veterinarian
  • Collaborate with other hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in Veterinary Technology or related field
  • Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
