Job Summary:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing Hyster and Toyota forklifts, wheel end loaders, and cranes. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with Hyster and Toyota forklifts, wheel end loaders, and cranes.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical systems.
  • Perform tire, brake, and drive train component replacements.
  • Maintain detailed written logs and records of maintenance activities.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all company equipment.
  • Perform building and facility maintenance repairs as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must provide own tools (any specialty tools will be provided).
  • Basic experience with welding and fabricating.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing balers, tie wire strappers, and air conditioning systems.
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, wheel loaders, and skid steers.
