We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Prysmian Group.

About the Role

In this critical position, you will be responsible for operating drawing machines that stretch or draw wire by pulling it through a series of dies. Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly will ensure high-quality products meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for following work instructions corresponding with your job, placing payoff packages of feedstock at the machine, and stringing the machine up per the required process sheet.
  • You will make welds from one package to another, remove completed packages, and secure them for movement to the next operation.
  • You will examine products to specifications, record results, and enter product data into the system as required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills suitable for a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, prioritize tasks, and plan activities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with occasional manual lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent bending and stooping to work with material at floor level.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
