Food Service Manager

City Museum is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient daily operation of our food and beverage services.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise food and beverage staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient daily operations.
- Conduct pre and post shift briefings with all Food and Beverage Department employees to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
- Initiate and impose disciplinary action according to museum policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the conducting in-service and ongoing training of employees to ensure optimal customer satisfaction in quality, service, safety, and efficiency.
- Supervise guest experience to ensure excellent customer service is provided by the food and beverage staff.
- Responsible for maintaining food and beverage presentation standards at all quick service restaurant and food carts.
- Ensure all museum policies and procedures are being followed by all employees.
- Identify concerns and work with management to resolve concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Record of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive (as required by St Louis City Health Department).
- Food Handler's Safety Card/certification.
- Experience in department or equivalent supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with public, customers and staff members.
- Be aware, attentive, and work well with others.
- Energy and enthusiasm for long days.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions and take precautions, including hydration, sun-protection and other precautions as necessary.
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level.
