Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in managing incoming shipments. This position involves verifying the accuracy of shipments and ensuring the quality of goods received.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in collaborative efforts to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the fulfillment and distribution processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct counts of incoming shipments to confirm details against invoices and other documentation.
  • Inspect and unpack shipments, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Organize and replenish stock in designated areas.
  • Operate forklifts and power jacks safely to handle warehouse materials, following established safety guidelines.
  • Develop work procedures, manage schedules, and streamline workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Supervision:

This role is typically overseen by the Receiving Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Prior experience in a receiving or inventory management role.

Required Skills:

  • Commitment to safety practices.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize computerized scanning technology.

Physical Requirements:

This position necessitates standing and light lifting (up to 25 pounds) for the majority of the workday, with occasional stooping and heavier lifting required.

Compensation: $14.50 per hour
