Diesel Mechanic

At Vulcan Materials, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and mobile machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

• Promote safety and maintain a safe working environment
• Repair and maintain mobile equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Inspect equipment and materials to identify and troubleshoot issues
• Handle and move objects safely and efficiently
• Document and record information accurately and timely
• Operate equipment and assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles
• Perform general physical activities, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials

• Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment
• Knowledge of best practices and general principles of servicing heavy construction equipment
• Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, as well as in various weather conditions
• Mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial tools and their maintenance
