Operations Manager Job Description

Lincoln Electric is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Additive Solutions Production Team at our Euclid, OH headquarters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing, leading, and coordinating the activities of our production team to ensure optimal performance and alignment with production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the Additive Solutions Production Team to ensure optimal performance and alignment with production goals.
  • Develop and implement training programs to maintain high standards of competency within the team.
  • Create and manage production schedules, tasks, and priorities to meet production targets, providing hands-on support as needed.
  • Understand and enforce manufacturing requirements, ensuring compliance with customer and quality specifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate production workmanship, identifying and addressing non-conformances to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream operations to support seamless customer order fulfillment.
  • Track and optimize production efficiency, including material movement and inventory management.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of additive systems, equipment, tooling, and supplies.
  • Work with the engineering team to develop and refine manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Oversee personnel selection, training, and qualification processes for various roles within the department.
  • Maintain accurate merit rating records, and manage personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Address and resolve worker complaints, escalating unresolved issues to the General Manager as necessary.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience is essential. Experience with GMAW welding and robotic automation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, and Apriso.
  • Capable of performing all operator tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds and wearing a respirator.
