Senior Payroll Analyst Job Description

A high-tech manufacturing company, Roessel Joy, is seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing payroll for complex and multi-entity organizations.

About the Role
The Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining incoming information received from the main Payroll department email box. They will process edits in Kronos and Lawson, ensure all timecards are approved, and process cycle and non-cycle payroll transactions. Additionally, they will assist with preparation of annual W-2 wage statements and federal and state filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews and maintains incoming information received from the main Payroll department email box.
  • Processes edits in Kronos and Lawson, ensuring all timecards are approved, and processes the cycle and non-cycle payroll transactions.
  • Assists with preparation of annual W-2 wage statements and federal and state filings.
  • Maintains and processes all court-ordered employee garnishments, including responses and releases.
  • Assists with bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly Federal and State tax payments and filings.
  • Participates in and contributes to Payroll department policy and process improvement initiatives, utilizing company and industry knowledge, as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Provides customer support to employees and department managers to resolve and payroll-related problems or inquiries.
  • Reviews, processes, and inputs employee elections, set up and maintain pay codes, retroactive pay adjustments, bonuses, uniform allowances, etc.; employee deduction refunds and other miscellaneous payroll transactions.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience processing payroll, preferably in a complex/multi-entity or healthcare environment.
  • Recent UKG experience preferred.
  • Recent Lawson and/or Workday experience preferred.
  • College coursework in Accounting preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Roessel Joy offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
