Job Summary:

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to lead our GenAI team in revolutionizing investment accounting data handling. As a passionate leader, you will leverage the power of generative AI to streamline and transform our industry.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an existing Software Development Manager looking to transition to AI or a Software Development Team Lead seeking to grow into a management role while remaining technically hands-on.

As a member of our GenAI team, you will play a pivotal role in managing development and refining solutions based on next-generation AI models. You will collaborate with a diverse group of experts, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in AI research and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the success, growth, and output of a software development team
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team members
  • Research, design, and implement solutions using state-of-the-art AI algorithms and models to enhance existing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of innovative AI solutions
  • Analyze large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and develop robust machine learning models
  • Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI research and technologies, and integrate them into our existing systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, iterate on models, and continuously improve AI capabilities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years of experience leading a development team
  • Understanding of machine learning and deep learning techniques, with hands-on experience in using AI models and APIs
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed computing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Passion for AI research and a drive to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements
  • Knowledge of FinTech, especially investment accounting, is a plus

This role is open to Clearwater employees currently working in the Boise office, or those willing to relocate to Boise.
