Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production and quality specifications
  • Confer with production team members to coordinate activities and improve processes
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  • Maintain quality, efficiency, and production levels set by management
  • Direct and train employees in the operation of machinery and equipment
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Report needs to maintenance for preventive maintenance and/or repair/modification
  • Maintain inventories of sheets, inks, and other converting supplies
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data
  • Inspect work in progress and finished goods
  • Interpret factory cards and direct work flow in the plant
  • Resolve work problems as needed
  • Review errors and complaints
  • Assist in corrective and/or preventive action as needed
  • Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems
  • Communicate with necessary supervision to avoid problems between shift changes
  • Prepare and provide subordinate performance evaluations
  • Keep upper management informed of problems or situations that may affect performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in computer software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to operate various office machines
  • Ability to write routine emails and correspondence
  • Ability to possess basic mathematics skills
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience in the corrugated industry (highly preferred)
