- Operate and Maintain Water Distribution Systems: Operate and maintain water distribution systems, including pumps, valves, and other equipment, to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of water to our customers.
- Inspect and Repair Water Distribution Systems: Inspect and repair water distribution systems, including pipes, valves, and other equipment, to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
- Develop and Implement Safety Procedures: Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure the safety of our employees and the public, including emergency response plans and safety training programs.
- Communicate with Customers and Stakeholders: Communicate with customers and stakeholders, including responding to customer complaints and concerns, and providing information about our water services and infrastructure.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three years of experience in water distribution system operation and maintenance, including experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Certifications and Licenses: A valid California driver's license with a tanker endorsement, and a Grade II Water Distribution Certificate issued by the California Department of Health Services.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and communicate with customers and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
