Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Meridian Medical Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, labeling, and packaging finished products in accordance with departmental procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all functions on the assembly, disassembly, and packaging line, including inspection of materials and products.
  • Operate assembly and packaging equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Records.
  • Follow direction from Senior Technicians regarding line setup and operation.
  • Maintain accurate batch records, proper accountability, and sample records.
  • Handle materials and products to facilitate packaging operations.
  • Follow department SOPs and cGMPs, and document activity on product batch records as required.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.
  • Wear required safety equipment and perform assigned work in a safe manner.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or Associates Degree plus 1 year manufacturing/packaging work experience or previous Pfizer experience or Veterans/Military experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform calculations for percent accountabilities, reconciliation of numerical values.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is required to stand/sit and walk at or near the assembly line.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Must achieve a score of 8 or better for near vision (14) with both eyes, using the Titmus II vision tester or 20/25 on a nearpoint Snellen acuity card at 16.

Acceptable visual acuity is a Snellen fraction of 20/25 or greater.

They must have normal color vision by Ishihara screening.
